Launchcontrol xl faceplate11/13/2023 I think I will look at setting up my launchpad with this too, at the moment it is dedicated to controlling Iverson Jr but this could make it much more powerful. Please let me know if you use this with your controller, I have been looking at getting that one but was holding off for exactly the reasons mentioned. Just had a quick look now and it looks like midizap can do it potentially, the manual mentions a shift state so this could be a solution? I occassionally see individuals who have created some kind of script of course it is for their use and not easily transferable to other uses/controllers. I used to use Arsenal in Live and that also uses extensive shift functionality to provide a huge amount of control but I don’t think there is anything like this in Linux (or even generally outside of Live?). But, while they are visually similar, Novation uses different shapes, sizes and. It has the same general look and feel as the Launchpad S, so it feels like each was conceived as part of a larger system. I would love to find a solution to this as well. It’s obvious that Novation put a lot of thought into the Launch Control XL, because it complements the 8×8 Launchpad S on many levels. Do your own design (s) based on the template file provided. That seems to be solely for ableton and not usable outside of that program (the controller scripts that Live uses are specific to it’s API). Five steps to your own custom print overlays Download a free template file here (Adobe Illustrator CS4 format). This would save a huge amount of space on my desktop and enable me to buy christmas presents for my kids. Would work for “Solo” and “Track Control 7” also Press “Mute” and “Track Control 2” and track 2 is muted. Or think about using the “Mute” and “Solo” buttons in a Mixer. I press DOWN and the channel changes back to 1. The workflow should be like this: Fader 1 sends CC #1 on channel 2. I could save different user presets in the editor and change them, but this would not completely work. Maybe there’s module or (simple) technique to aquire this in Rack. I found no way to set this up in the Launchcontrol Editor, but I could be wrong there. I’m looking for a way to use the arrow buttons on the Launchcontol as shift buttons, so I could change the offset of the CCs or channels sent by the faders and knobs from the Launchcontrol to Rack. When ready, templates can be sent to the unit, or saved to your account or computer. As I left the convenient windows path and walk along the rough linux roads, along the path I changed my AKAI Fire into a very nice Launchcontrol XL, which does the job great, but I run out of knobs and faders and buttons pretty fast. Select a control to view its settings on the right, or click "Show Values" to see the value of each control simultaneously: Settings for pads and buttons include the ability to set the control type (Note or CC), set the Press type to Momentary (press to turn a value on, release to set it off) or Toggle (press once for on value, press again for off). Settings for the pots include the ability to set the CC number a control will send, the MIDI channel it sends on, the minimum and maximum values, the colour of the LED, and the LED MIDI channels which determines which channel the LED under the dial will respond to from incoming MIDI messages. Or create a new one from scratch - this new template is the default User template that comes on the unit. ![]() You can get a template from the Launch Control XL: The top right of the page indicates the unit's connection status: If you are using a browser, you may need to allow the page to access your MIDI devices, as prompted when first loading the page: You can either download the standalone application when you register your Launch Control XL to our customer portal, or you can access our web-based version in browsers that support webMIDI such as Chrome, Opera and Microsoft Edge from this link: ![]() Components can be used to manage the templates stored on the Launch Control XL.Ĭomponents is a tool used to manage the firmware and templates for many of our products.
